Services

Software development, and the systems around it.

Offshore application development for the group’s clients in Japan and Thailand, plus network, software and CCTV supply from our Subic office.

Offshore software development

Engineers in Subic build applications for the group’s clients, in Japan and in Thailand alike. The work comes in two forms.

Bespoke development

Applications built to a client’s own specification.

In-house product development

Products System Sense designs, builds and owns.

The phases we own

Whether the client sits in Japan or in Thailand, our team is responsible for these stages of application development.

01

Design

Turning requirements into a technical design.

02

Programming

Writing and reviewing the application code.

03

Testing

Verifying the build against the specification.

Offshore software development

Software built 100% to order — web, mobile and desktop — by a dedicated team in Subic, run to the process our Tokyo head office has used since 1990.

We build the systems your business actually runs on — business management systems, web applications, mobile and desktop tools — written for your company rather than adapted from a package that nearly fits. Where packaged software or an existing system is part of the picture, we integrate with it.

Named engineers stay with your product, so the same people learn your domain and are still there a year later. Subic runs one hour behind Tokyo, so questions asked in your morning are answered the same day.

Specifications, review and testing are handled in Japanese or English, to Japanese documentation standards — from the first consultation through release and long-term maintenance, in one office.

  • Business management systems
  • Web applications
  • Mobile and desktop applications
  • UI / UX design
  • Integration with packaged software and existing systems
  • Dedicated teams and team extension
  • Bilingual project management (JP / EN)
  • Release, maintenance and handover

Network design, facilities and equipment

Designing the network a site runs on, fitting out the facility, and supplying the equipment.

We start with the site, not the catalogue: a survey of the building, what runs in it, and where it is going to grow. The design follows from that.

Cabling, racks, switching and wireless are installed and documented, so the people who run the site afterwards can see what is where without calling us.

Equipment is supplied configured and labelled rather than in boxes. A factory, an office and a warehouse each need a different network, and the difference is in the design, not the brand on the switch.

  • Site survey and network design
  • Structured cabling and facility work
  • Switching, routing and wireless
  • Equipment supply, configuration and labelling
  • As-built documentation and handover

CCTV development and sales

Cameras, recording and the network behind them — designed, installed and kept working.

Coverage is decided before any camera is chosen: what has to be seen, from where, in what light, and how long the footage needs to be kept. The hardware follows the answer.

A camera is a sensor as much as a deterrent. The same installation that records an incident also shows how long a queue really gets, where a line actually stops, and which door people use.

Recording, storage and remote viewing are set up as one system with the network they depend on — which is the part that usually fails first when the two are bought separately.

Cameras drift, lenses fog and disks fill. Scheduled inspection and maintenance are part of the service, not a separate conversation a year later.

  • Coverage planning and camera selection
  • Installation and cabling
  • Recording, storage and retention
  • Remote and multi-site viewing
  • Scheduled inspection and maintenance
